* Applicant must be Texas resident or non-resident National Merit Finalist
* Not open to athletic scholarship recipients
* Award cannot exceed difference between applicant's tuition at private institution and what applicant would pay at public institution
* Award amount varies; maximum is $3,444, but students with exceptional need may receive up to $5,166
* Students must be enrolled on at least a half-time basis
* Applicants should contact the financial aid office at the Texas private college/university they plan to attend for more information
